This terrace of cottages against the mountain with the spiky grasses in the foreground excited me so I painted it back in the studio. I covered the sky with masking fluid and painted the mountain using more masking fluid and Indian ink that I pushed around the paper with plenty of water. The smoke was scratched out using a razor blade.
