Whilst browsing through an old sketchbook before revisiting the area I came upon this view of a remote farmstead in the Durham Pennines. Although I had drawn it and painted it back in 1983 I just wanted to paint this simple scene again to emphasise the stone walls that I scratched out whilst the paint was still damp.
