Somehow 2016 has been a particularly good year for intense colour in the Lincolnshire Countryside and whilst driving around the county I have seen so many exquisite golden fields that have an extraordinary dense colour immediately after the cereal has been harvested. I carried this colour and scene in my head until I had the opportunity to paint it.
