I stumbled upon this scene entirely unexpectedly. Once back home I painted the scene in the bright light and still 'top of the tide' water that so entranced me at the time. I also wanted to paint the isolated building on its tiny island as the centre of interest and decided to break some of the cardinal rules on composition. i think I have got away with it!
