It was a chilly October day when my wife and I were walking by the sea at Barmouth. It was exceedingly wind, very overcast and threatening rain with a few hardy souls well wrapped up at the water's edge. However, the intense light on the sea gave the scene a magic that I have tried to recreate in this painting.
