This wonderful 11th century church stands on the edge of the Loire. Its lovely coloured stone caught my eye and I decided to paint it against a very dark sky to accentuate the lightness of the stone. The size of the people also help to demonstrate the scale of the building. If you are ever in the vicinity; go there! This is the second version of this superb building.
