As I walked this path up the fells, knowing from the map that the tarn would soon come into sight, I was delighted by what I saw. It only took a matter minutes to get the sketch in the sketchbook and a small watercolour was the result some time later. I wanted, in particular, to catch the light on the water as I first saw it.
